Silly bimbos everywhere were wetting their pants over those oh-so-pretty, empty-headed glam boys
that were a dime a dozen back in the 80s. Sure they looked good, but nary a one had anything to SAY
that I found remotely inspiring or interesting. Hey, I look for more in a hero than just good looks and maybe a few masturbatory fantasies! Were the question posed, "If you could spend an evening with one celebrity, who would it be?" my answer would NOT be Bret
Michaels (sorry Jamie!) or any other pretty boy. To this day, people look at me like I'm out of my fuckin' mind when I say that it'd be Dee Snider. "That Twisted Sister
guy? He's weird, he's sick, he's... eeeewwww!"Let the chickies dream of being wooed by some pretty boy... my fondest wish was to spend a day simply
conversing
with this man I respect and admire for being brilliant, determined, talented and so clearly in touch with what it's like to live life outside some societal concept of "acceptable." If ever there was a person whose mind (and ability to shock and offend) was so like my own, Dee's the man.

Such lunatic ravings... you'd think I'm some obsessed fan - or maybe schmoozing for a gig! Neither, really (although now that I think about it, work is
always welcome. Haha). I'm simply a weird old SMF broad who grew up believing that the best part of a man is between his ears. For twenty years Dee's continually proven amazing, and I'm not easily impressed. No matter what, he's always taken pride and pleasure in bashing the snot out of the status quo, and he's nobody's ass-kisser. In the best way I know how, I just had to pay tribute to the man who inspired me to be brave enough to say, "Fuck off!" to anyone who tries to stand in my way whether I'm fighting to survive, grow or change things I find unjust. It's highly unlikely I'll ever get the chance to do so any other way, so this humble page must suffice. Hey, he might read it one day, ya never know!
So... thanks, Dee! Over the years you've unknowingly provided me with the strength to keep fighting even when it seemed I was all alone and all the odds were against me. I'm
looking forward to the next 20 years, and I'll be cheering your successes all the way. Keep rockin' and kickin' ass... we'll always need our SMF King! We believe in you... :-)
