"Totally 80s" thing, for those of us who lived during that time nostalgia beckons, and I'm not immune. Maybe I'm just wistful for the days
before I became a mother and wife, when I could still wear outrageous clothes and have wild hair and not look like an old poseur! Back then
my gypsy ways were still at the fore, and I'd take a road trip or move cross-country on a whim, without anxiety or guilt.
Revisiting some old photo albums lately, and finding old friends through the 'net has led me to build these pages. I'm having a lot of fun
remembering the good old days, listening to the music that was popular when I was young, free and had
energy to spare. Some of the outfits, makeup and hair-dos are pretty damned comical, too! And I wasn't
alone in that. Many of us, girls & guys alike, kept the creators of spandex and hair products rolling in dough. We won't even go into lingerie and fetish wear...
I had some great times (some heartaches, too) and did a few things many people might only dream of.
After all, it was Heavy Metal's Heyday in Los Angeles in the mid-eighties, and a strange series of events led
to my being right in the heart of it much of the time. I'll start at the beginning, add stories as I can and
eventually perhaps get to the end. It'll be fun for me to relive the past a little, and if it's entertaining for others, all the better! |
